Steve was such a great tour guide. He showed us all over Vancouver Island and explained the history of the Island, as well as little known facts and trivia. We saw the homes, Chinatown, the Butchard Gardens, the museum and went into the famous hotel. Steve was waiting for us at each location, as we finished our tour. Also, he recommended restaurants, and knew the local fare. What a great trip!
Steven is a very easygoing, knowledgeable and interesting tour guide! I would highly recommend doing this tour on your first day in this huge city to get your bearings and spot places you want to revisit at another time. We loved Steven’s stories from his childhood in Vancouver juxtaposed to his accounts of modern life in the city. He was very accommodating to my older parents who weren’t up for long walks. You can customize the tour to suit your needs.
Despite a very rainy day, Steve Rivard, our tour guide ensured we had a good day. He arrived on time at our hotel and quickly had us on our way in a very comfortable car. We visited four wineries and particularly enjoyed the first stop which served fruit wine. Plenty of tasting was on offer and Steve allowed as much or as little time as we wanted at each stop. We were disappointed the lunch was not at a winery, as we had been told by Viator , through whom we booked the tour, however we were instead taken to a restaurant in White Rock. En route, Steve gave us interesting information about the surrounding area and did his best to make us feel comfortable.
